Graduated from the Higher Institute of Physical Education in Camaguey Cuba with the degree of Licentiate in Physical Education with specialty in Sports injuries and rehabilitation. Graduated from Keiser University Orlando Florida in 2013 with the degree of Occupational Therapy Assistant and then obtained a Master of Science with in Occupational Therapy from Barry University Miami Shores, Florida in 2020.
Luis has been practicing Occupational Therapy for over 7 years with experience working with neurotraumas, CVA and spinal cord, UE ortho conditions, sports injuries, cardiopulmonary rehab, and Covid-19. Experience working in different setting including Hospital Acute Care, Acute Inpatient rehabilitation, Orthopedic Outpatient, and Low vision rehabilitation.
Certified on head, neck and shoulder treatment and creator of the Therapeutic System and Method for flexing and extending metacarpal and phalangeal joins. “STM flex n Xtend Gloves” Invention Patented 2015. US9968506B2. Currently using different intervention modalities to treat hand and Upper Extremities injuries including kinesio taping, TENS, ultrasound, and manual therapy, working on getting my Laser Treatment Certification.
Luis is strong supporter of self-improvement of people, he believes in teamwork, and that all people have the ability to overcome adversities including physical injuries and health conditions as long as they are able to work on them in every angle. He is also a proud father of two girls, and in his free time he enjoys traveling , boating and spear fishing.
