After being three years at the vet school in Colombia South America at age 22, I realized that healing animals was not my calling. I came to United States in 1982 looking for the opportunity to study something related to psychology. I studied Occupational Therapy thinking that working with the mentally confused patients was going to be my passion. I was wrong.
In 1990 I graduated from Florida International University and started working in the first-hand clinic that opened in Miami. I was exposed to all kinds of treatment of the hands seeing mainly Workmen Compensation patients, the knowledge for hand treatment and techniques expanded, I was called by Aventura Hospital and I was the only one seeing the hand patients in the hospital and I also improved my techniques in making custom splints.
In 1995 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and I had to slow down because of the pain. I ended working in the psychiatric floor of same hospital and I was not a happy camper.
In 1996 I was hired to work with Kessler Rehabilitation and in 2002 I got my Certification for Functional Capacity Evaluation.
Kessler Rehabilitation closed the doors and I worked with a Hand surgeon for 11 years.
In 2010 I had the opportunity to work for Bolanos Associates part time, I stayed with them for five years.
In 2015 I left my carrier due to medical reasons and in 2016 Bolanos Associates gave me the opportunity to do the Marketing for them. I am presently the Marketing Director learning the new world of marketing throughout Killer Marketing Techniques. I am grateful that Bolanos Associates gave me the opportunity to grow within the company and get better and better every day.
I do have hobbies during my spare time I work out with physically disabled, I run and swim whenever I have the opportunity. I love to spend time with family and friends. I love the human behavior and I try to accept people the way they are.
